MISSION & VISION
At Energy Generation we are convinced that African youth have the potential to solve the most pressing challenges of their generation (access to clean and sustainable energy, food security and access to health for all), in one generation. We want to encourage entrepreneurial projects led by young Africans and promote innovative technological solutions “made in Africa” and adapted to the continent.

Contributing to the emergence and development of an entrepreneurial spirit among the African youth, often left without satisfactory professional perspectives.

Thanks to the resources and ingenuity of our project holders, we will be able to provide electrification solutions at lower costs, which have direct and indirect positive impacts at several levels.
A unique entrepreneurial adventure
OUR MODEL
In 2013, Astria Fataki and four other students from Sciences Po Paris founded "Lighting a Billion Lives France", an association dedicated to rural electrification, inspired by a TERI program in India. After working in Niger, Mali and Congo, installing solar-powered micro-power plants, the association has adopted a paradigm shift.
In January 2016, it moved to a model based on "made in Africa" technological innovations. and the entrepreneurial spirit of young people, becoming Energy Generation. In order to promote both innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit, the association opened its first training center in October 2016, the Energy Generation Academy Lomé.
Our programs combine training, incubation and investment readiness to help promising entrepreneurs scale their business by accessing market and funding opportunities.
The final objective is to provide a comprehensive follow-up of innovative projects produced by young Africans and ensure their success.

Energy Generation is working on the development of a seed fund.
Our wish is to create this tool for entrepreneurs trained and supported by EG, in order to reduce risks, facilitate due diligence work, and thus be able to finance these entrepreneurs almost systematically.
